District Institute of Education and Training, Namakkal has been functioning since the year 1989 under the GO.Ms.No.1799, Edn Dt: 7.12.1988. It was established on 19.12.1988. The area of District Institute of Education and Training, Namakkal is 4.38 acres. It is located at 53, S.P.Pudur, Thillaipuram, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, at the Latitude 11.214836 and longitude 78.16536. It is located within the town limits and is easily accessible.
The Principal is the head of the institution. The senior-most Senior Lecturer is the Vice Principal. 6 Senior Lecturers and 10 Lecturers are working in the institution.
DIET, Namakkal has well-established buildings covering 36770 square feet consisting of 9 blocks - Principal room, Office room, Staff room, classrooms, auditorium, training halls, Science lab, Psychology lab, Math lab, Staff quarters, and a playground. Principal is the head of the institution. The senior-most Senior Lecturer is the Vice Principal. 6 Senior Lecturers and 10 Lecturers are working in the institution. As non-teaching staff, 2 Assistants, a Steno typist, and a Junior Assistant are working in the office.
